This option will send reports of the backup status directly to the user’s Inbox.<\/p>\n

To Email the backup status:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open the Dashboard<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Under Tools<\/strong>, select Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Select Email Notifications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Select Email me backup status<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Under Notification Schedule<\/strong>, select one or both options:\n
      \n
    • Send Every:<\/strong> This will send a backup status on a specific day of the week.<\/li>\n
    • Send when an error occurs:<\/strong> Send an email when there is an error; the backup destination is full, it has been several days since the last backup, or failed files for backup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Under Email Server Settings<\/strong>, enter the following information:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \n
          • SMTP server:<\/strong> The name or IP address of SMTP server to be used for sending notification emails.<\/li>\n
          • Port:<\/strong> SMTP sending port. (25 by default).<\/li>\n
          • My email:<\/strong> The email address to receive notification emails.<\/li>\n
          • This server requires an encrypted connection:<\/strong>\u00a0Select this option if your SMTP server supports secure connection via SSL or TLS. Select AUTO<\/strong> if you are not sure of the encryption type your SMTP server supports.<\/li>\n
          • Select My email requires authentication<\/strong>, ;and enter:\n
              \n
            • Username: Email account username.<\/li>\n
            • Password: Email account password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Click Send test email<\/strong> to send a test email using these settings.<\/li>\n
              2. Click Save<\/strong> to save changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
